One of author Dick B.'s prized discoveries was the library of books A.A. co-founder Dr. Bob had read, studied, recommended, and circulated.

Dick first found part of them in the home of Dr. Bob's surviving daughter Sue Smith Windows in Akron. Later he found most of the balance with Dr. Bob's son Smitty and his wife in Nocona, Texas/5(9).

Anyway, while browsing the web for this book, I was delighted to find that Dr. Bob had also read Seabury's book, kept a copy of it in his Dr. Bob and His Library book and recommended sober alcoholics read it.

He omits mention of almost all the library materials and saracastically hints that the contents were used to indoctrinate Dr.

Bob's sponsees--the Dr. Bob who was long long dead when these books were gathered and were placed in the church of his family and his own boyhood days.
